The objective of this project is to provide safe and beautiful access to the front door from the street. The existing steps were rotten, and the landscape was overgrown and neglected. The project will include the installation of a new stairway and walkway that can be used day and night to beautify the front of the home and provide guests with a safe and welcoming entrance.
The residence was in need of a complete makeover as the retaining walls, steps, and walkways were dilapidated and unusable. The design will focus on providing form and function to the entrance of the home, creating a visually pleasing and safe environment for visitors.
The property had been neglected for some time, and leaves had piled up to over 1 ft in depth. The existing shrubs were mostly elaeagnus and needed to be completely removed. The railroad tie walls were rotten and disintegrating and full of bugs. The entire property sits below the elevation of the road, making it very difficult to get up the hill for material removal and installation.
The design will prioritize safety, accessibility, and visual appeal. The new landscape design will feature low-maintenance plants and materials to reduce ongoing maintenance costs. The project will also include grading and excavation to improve drainage and ensure a stable and durable hardscape installation.
